OCTOBER IS MY FAVORITE MONTH!!!! And the reason I love October and Fall so much is because I get to celebrate my favorite orange fruit!!! I have made a list of my favorite things to do with a pumpkin during the month of October!


1. Paint the pumpkin! You can use really cheap paint, or acryllic paint and decorate the pumpkin however you like! It's not that messy and is a fun activity for little kids, too!

2. Carve the pumpkin! So this one isn't my favorite because I'm not artistic or strong, but making Jack-o-Lanterns are some of the funnest and most cherished memories I have! I love helping out my boyfriend pick a face, or watching my brother's imagination go wild. It's such a fun craft!

3. Cook the pumpkin seeds! You can cook them sweet or salty! I like salty the best, personally. To roast pumpkin seeds, preheat your oven to 350F, choose a flavor (For sweet - dip them in butter and roll them in cinnamon and sugar. For salty - soak them for about an hour in soy sauce, sprinkle with salt ) and bake for 15-20 minutes - depending on how crunchy you like them! What a great snack!

4. Pumpkin Soup - There's so many different recipes for pumpkin soups! I personally like to add pumpkin to my favorite vegetable soup broth, but other people bake and sweeten the pumpkin and make a curry! Try it

5. And of course, pumpkin pie! What a better way to tell someone (me) you love them (me) than by baking a home made pumpkin pie!!
