A lot of people think homeschool kids are super quiet. In all reality us homeschool kids can be pretty crazy and awesome. People also think that just because we were homeschooled that we don't know how to act socially. The thing is, when you get a bunch of us together it can be crazy fun. For me being homechooled made me who I am and I truly do not know who I would be without it, and how I would deal with college. For most homeschoolers we are just misunderstood by not only adults but also by people our own age. So what are the 5 things you learn as a homeschooler?
1. You learn time management
This was the first thing you learned, because if you wanted to go to zoo or aquarium class you had to have not only Monday's work done, but also Tuesday's so you could have all day for class and other fun activities that are offered to homeschoolers. Also if you got all your work done early for that week you had the rest of the week off.
2. How to save money
What most people do not know is that there are so many discounts offered to homeschoolers. Growing up you learned how to save money and get your moneys worth.
3. Life skills
Your parents were always going to make sure you not only knew how to do everything in the class room but also life skills. Like how to fix things around the house
4. Doing things on your own
You were taught early that you were not always going to receive help in life so you learned how to teach your self, because mom could not understand high school math because the book liked to spin her around in the instructions.
5. This so made going to college easier
Sure at first you were worried about moving out and going to school, but once classes started it felt like you were back home. The reason why is because of all the amazing skills you have learned being a homeschooler. People may thing we are weird and can't be out in public, but they don't know what awesome people we are.
