You probably know a set of identical twins, or at least have seen a pair in person before. Although twins are really the same as everyone else, they do go through some experiences that are unique to people with a mirror image of themselves!

1. Constantly getting asked the same question

Since the second you could talk, people have been asking, "are you two twins?" Umm no, just two strangers chilling, of course we are! Prepare yourself for a life time of being asked this, although you low-key enjoy the attention, and if you and your twin ever live apart you know you'll miss it!

2. You don't see It

Even though everyone else thinks you are the same person, you actually think your twin looks at least a little different from you. Whether it be different noses, voices, or face shapes, there are differences. However, you may be the only one that notices!

3. Having a mirror image

Hopefully you don't give creepy "The Shining" twin vibes tho!!

Do you ever want to know how an outfit looks on you, how a new hairstyle will turn out, or just how the rest of the world perceives you from the outside. Look no further! Your twin is the ultimate guinea pig, and you only feel slightly guilty for making them try risky trends before you.

4. Always confusing people

Whether it be teachers, strangers, or your close relatives, everyone is confused by you two! Although constantly correcting people and learning to respond to two names can be a little annoying, it also has its perks. You can play tricks, switch places in school, spread blame, and conveniently become a different person when it suits you. You also secretly sympathize with the people that confuse you, since you can not tell other twins apart either!

5. Everything's a competition

From report cards to who can run the fastest mile, everything seems to become a competition. Although you both have your strengths and weaknesses, you always feel a little edge to be just a little bit better than your twin. At the same time, your twin is also one of your biggest motivators, and together you push each other to be your best self.

6. Having a built-in best friend

From womb-mates, to room-mates, your twin has been by your side through it all. Although you may disagree and fight sometimes, you know that you always have each others back. You always refer to yourself as "we", and you can not imagine life any other way. Besides, life is always more fun when you have a clone to do it with.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
