All The Things You Forgot You're Grateful For

This season is all about giving thanks and what we are grateful for. Here are a few things that I can say I am pretty grateful for. This list consists of Starbucks, KUWTK, college life, sunsets, and country music.

This might sound a little wacky, but I can't live without my white chocolate mocha iced non-fat tall without whip cream (gotta try to lay off the calories). Although the lines take HOURS at the library Starbucks at my school it is most definitely worth it. I started drinking this iced coffee since middle school. If you have not tried it yet I promise it is worth it and will change your life for the better.

Although I am behind one episode currently, I love watching Keeping up with the Kardashians every Sunday night. They might be VERY dramatic when it comes to their lives but it is so entertaining to watch when you have nothing better to do. Binge watching episodes in my pajamas are what I am most grateful for.

College can be stressful at times when it comes to submitting assignments into Canvas, but hey it can be fun too. Coming to my university I literally knew no one except my roommate because we came from the same high school, but we made sure to create our own fun by making new friends and attending all after school "activities". I joined Tri Delta my freshman year and that made my schedule a bit more pact, but I love always having to do something. I am grateful to have a home away from home and have some freedom here. This is the youngest we will ever be, so it's time to live our lives! (as my roommate would say, shout out to Mikayla)

Living in Fort Myers we are known to have the most beautiful sunsets. (Yes, this is very accurate) Almost every day around 6 pm we are blessed with the absolute most gorgeous pink and orange sky. Thankfully, the beach is only a short drive away or we can even go to the one on campus lay out a towel and enjoy the pretty sky in front of us.

Last but not least I am so very thankful for country music. Before college, I honestly only listened to country music occasionally but never really appreciated it as much. My friends here "put me on" and I can now say that I am obsessed. It makes you feel some type of way whether if its emotional or HAPPY. You can most definitely catch me at Tortuga 2019.

I am super excited to go home this Thanksgiving break to spend time with family and friends I haven't seen in a while. Although, these are little things that I am grateful for I am obviously most grateful for my loved ones.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
