While some of us are lucky enough to travel for spring break, other people may not be as lucky or simply choose to go home for spring break. Being home can be boring yet relaxing, exhausting yet exhilarating, but at the very least, here are some things we certainly don't have to worry about:
1. Packing for warm weather, or just packing in general.
2. Getting a sunburn.
3. Having sand in everything.
"How'd it end up in my phone?"
4. Food poisoning.
5. Alcohol poisoning.
When they said "stay hydrated," they didn't mean in that way.
6. Getting lost (and then realizing that much like finding your way, you will never find love).
7. Spending absurd amounts of money.
'Cause being home means you're saving money. Mostly.
8. Having a perfect beach bod.
I'm going nowhere so therefore, I don't care.
9. Getting bug bites (or stings).
10. Poor amenities.
Jokes on you—my stay's free and I get to go barefoot in the shower.
11. Missing home (but really just your pet).
Sure you may be away with all of your friends having the time of your life, but wouldn't you really rather be at home hanging out with your parents and your dog? Huh?
So yes, I may be jealous of people in warmer weather right now, and am trying to make myself feel better by coming up with this list. But hey, whatever works, right?
