As a young woman, I have always thought that I needed to do things and go out with other people. While there are some things that are not very safe for women to do alone, like go out to the club or bar, there are plenty of things that are safe to do alone. As a matter of fact, there are many things you should do all alone as a young lady in your 20s. Doing these things alone isn't just fun, but you may be able to discover new things about yourself and doing these things may allow you to grow in this prime time.

1. Take yourself out to a nice dinner.

2. Go on a road trip.

3. Travel to a new state you've always wanted to visit.

4. Go hiking.

5. Go to the movie theater.

6. Get an apartment and live alone.

7. Buy a pet.

8. Go to the beach.

9. Go on a cruise.

10. Take yourself on a shopping spree.

11. Go to a sip and spatter class.

12. Find a new hobby you like to do by yourself.

13. Get a new tattoo or piercing.

14.Get a professional massage.

15. Sit in a coffee shop.

Doing things by yourself, especially in your 20s, can be very refreshing. Sometimes, those things you experience by yourself will be some of your best memories.

Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.
