Almost everyone has a bucket list. Items on a bucket list can be simple things, like making cookies from scratch, all the way to skydiving. I am a firm believer in my own bucket list, so I decided to share eight experiences that should definitely be on your bucket list as well.
1. The RickShaw Run
There is a start line and a finish line, whatever happens in between is up to you. Traveling across the length of India in a tuk tuk is definitely a unique way of experiencing India.
2. La Tomatina
If you have ever had the burning desire to start a food fight, La Tomatina is the event for you. Held every year in Bunol Valencia, Spain, an all-out tomato brawl takes place that you do not want to miss.
3. Attend a World Cup America
Whether you are a soccer fan or not, the energy at a World Cup game cannot be matched to anything else.
4. Float in the Dead Sea
Have you ever wanted to read a book while floating on top of the water? Well you can here. Just lean back and trust the sea.
5. Attend a traditional Japanese tea ceremony
The ceremony is more than just drinking tea. It is an art and spiritual discipline that is a must-experience.
6. Visit the Last Bookstore in L.A.
Even if you are not in love with books, this store may make you fall in love with its magic.
7. Celebrate Mardi Gras in New Orleans
Celebrate this historic event in the very place it originated.
8. Attend the Holi Festival of Colors
The festival originated in India. Holi announces the arrival of spring and is commonly celebrated in the U.S. now. People throw dry colored powder in celebration, so pick your favorite color and join the rainbow.
These events are ones to consider putting on your bucket list. Trying to experience as much as possible is worth so much. In the words of Ferris Bueller, "Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in awhile, you could miss it."
