Two words: roller skates.

Over the years things cycle through style, so here's a list of things that need to cycle in and never cycle back out, because they're just that great. From bead curtains to the milk delivery truck, having these things would make 2018 totally rad.

1. Love Letters

I would much rather receive a letter over a text message any day.

2. Phone calls

All we do is text and send e-mails. We have become so anti-social as a society... talking over the phone shows emotion and prevents confusion. So why not call people rather than text them?

3. 8-track tapes

4. Good cartoons

The Smurfs, The Flinstones, The Looney Toons... you get the gist

5. Mood Rings

6. Big hair and headbands

Dolly Parton had the big hair and Jenny from Forrest Gump had the headbands.

7. Roller skates

Great way to stop obesity, am I right?

8. Rotary dial telephones

These are just cool.

9. Movies like "Breakfast Club"

"The Breakfast Club," "Godfather" and "Dirty Dancing"... bring them back!

10. Milk deliveries

Could you imagine having milk delivered straight to your house?

11. Cool cars

2018 Dodge Chargers are cool and all but nothing can top an old car.

12. Songs with meaning

Born to be Wild, Free Bird, and Livin' on a Prayer... if you don't know them, you should.

13. Drive-in movies

"Netflix and chill" is dead, find one of the few drive-in movies to take your girl to.

14. Woodstock

It was the love fest, man. #FlowerPower

15. Penny candy

Two words, penny-candy. Enough of that $0.99 for a piece of bubble gum.

16. Jiffy Pop

Microwaves are overrated. The popcorn tastes better on the stove anyway.

17. Chivalry

Yanno, because chivalry is dead.

18. Bead Curtains

Everyone should have a bead curtain in their bedroom doorway... I don't care how old you are.

19. Shag carpet

Feels good in between your toes, dude.

20. Waterbeds

Trash the foam bed and go get a heated water bed.

21. Scrunchy hair ties

Scrunchy hair ties were the bee's knees. They're so stylish so I think all of us women need to start wearing them again.

22. Game Boy

Game Boy over PS4 every day.

23. Typewriters

Maybe it's not as modern as your MacBook but it gets the job done, without any other distractions.

24. VHS tapes

There's honestly nothing great about VHS tapes, but watching things that mom and dad taped of you when you were little is always going to be cool.

25. Polaroid cameras

Cameras that instantly make the picture you took... so I suppose we should also bring back scrapbooking and photo albums.

26. Candy necklaces

These were just awesome back in the day.

27. Etch-a-sketch

I'd rather play with one of these for hours than have to play on my phone.

28. TV dinners

Throw it in the microwave for a few minutes... and bam a whole dinner.

29. Low gas prices

This is unrealistic but a girl can wish...

30. Tie Dye everything

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
