Do you freak out any time you see something that is pink, sparkly or covered with flowers? Do you spend most of your free time watching makeup and hair tutorials? Do you take pics of basically everything? There is a pretty good chance you are a girly girl. You basically love everything that is even remotely girly, whether it is clothes, mani/pedis, or chocolate and you are absolutely not afraid to show it. Here are several feelings that anyone who considers themselves girly can most likely relate to.

1. At least half of your possessions are pink or purple.

2. You are emotionally attached to all of your clothes.

You treat your clothes like they are your children. You can name every single article of clothing you own without even looking in your closet, and you may have even gotten around to naming them. When you cannot find one of your shirts, it is the end of the world.

3. Speaking of clothes, you have so many that they barely fit in your room.

You just do not understand how one's feet can live their lives in *only* five pairs of shoes the entire year. Even though you have more clothes than anyone you know, you still constantly feel like you have nothing to wear.

4. You feel almost naked when you are not wearing jewelry/some other accessory.

You know how awkward it would feel to just walk around without a shirt on? Well, it feels basically the same when you go out and don't have earrings in your earholes.

5. You think it is hilarious when people say packing for a trip is easy.

Seriously? Packing for a vacation takes AT LEAST a week in advance. You need to make sure you have all the right outfits for every occasion and the perfect accesories to go with them. Oh, and there is no way all of that stuff is fitting into one suitcase--sorry baggage claim, I have three more bags for you!

6. The struggles of your nails not having dried yet.

If even one nail chips, all hell breaks loose.

7. You need an unreasonable dose of estrogen in your system.

You feel really out of place if you are the only girl in the room, and can only go so long without having other girls to talk about, well, girly things with. "Girls' nights" are your favorite thing in the world, even if it just means sitting around and doing nothing all night.

8. When you see the makeup aisle in a store:

I just want to play with it all!

9. You love chick flicks.

There is a positive correlation between the amount of pink in a movie and how much you enjoy it. Mean Girls never gets old. Neither does Legally Blonde.

10. You could spend hours looking through fashion magazines.

Spending five hours reading about what lipstick color best complements my shoes? I know exactly how to entertain myself on this plane ride!

11. You do not know what it is like not to decorate something.

12. You take pics of EVERYTHING.

Rule #1 in the girl codebook: If you do not have pictures of you and your girlfriends glammed up before a dance, it did not actually happen.

13. You have lost track of your pinterest boards.

Wait, are polka-dotted nail designs too specific a category to have their own board?

14. You find yourself getting completely glammed up just to go to the post office.

Or, if we are being realistic, you get glammed up for the fun of it and are going to the post office so you can show it off.

15. You think everything is adorable.

Puppies, babies, dresses ... or even better, puppies and babies wearing dresses! Actually, you think everything that is pink, sparkly or tiny is adorable, and you are usually the only person in a room to squeal at it.

16. Whenever someone gets you a present, it is probably going to be bright colored, covered with flowers, and/or smells like perfume

Participating in a secret santa? You are most likely getting pink fuzzy socks. Well, they are not wrong in trying to figure out what you like ....

17. No matter how girly you are, it does not mean you cannot kick some serious ass.

You have no problem publicizing your love of sparkles and flowers, but when someone thinks that you are not capable of playing sports or being "tough," your fists (with pink painted nails, of course) will show them within seconds just how wrong they are. No matter how much you love being girly, you would put it all aside to show just how much you are capable of. #Girlsruletheworld

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
