If you attend Stony Brook University, you know that this list consists of things you're going to miss after you graduate -- or even when you're on break.
1. Paying a lot for food, to end up hungry anyway.
When you pay tons of money for food that's not enough to fill you up. So grateful.
2. The crowd at every food place after every class.
All you wanted was a banana.
3. Having a test at 8:45 p.m., and having class the next day.![]()
Who needs a break after a test anyway? Let's learn new material at 8 a.m.
4. The weekend life.
Self-explanatory.
5. Fire alarms at 4 a.m.
But, seriously? Not today, Satan.
6. The SBU Weather Twitter page, teasing students about snow days.
Really.
7. The wind tunnel you walk through near the Chemistry building on your way to the recreation center.
Only the strong make it through. It's like the wind is secretly telling you, "Don't go, don't go."
8. That small heart attack every time you get an email from SOLAR, which is usually about your tuition.
Because you totally didn't see the one you got last week.
9. Waiting on the printer line while people are printing out their entire textbooks, when you only have a page to print.
Good thing the other printer line only has 12 people.
10. Buying a $70 manual for a lab to only use the first nine pages.
You will totally use that manual again for the rest of your life.
11. You're so used to being late to big lectures that you find it hard to make it on time for your small classes.
Frey 100, or the library -- we all know the struggle.
12. Driving your car around campus only to stop every three seconds.
Please don't make awkward eye contact.
