My Top 10 Favorite TV Shows

You know I like movies….. So obviously that means I like TV too. Because you know TV is free. Except for Netflix…. And Hulu…. And the cable bill….. SHUT UP!!

Anyway here are my favorite TV shows in no order but I’ll explain which one is my favorite you know the drill and you don’t care let’s just do it.

How I Met Your Mother

This show is addicting. You grow to love every one of these characters and for each dilemma the get in to, you really want to see them get out okay. This show is a very honest portrayal of how we actually view love. We think that we’ll be chill about it but in reality, we all want it. We are all Ted Mosby. That’s why he’s such a great character. Also, this show seems to also make characters that I would hate and make them awesome. Like Barney Stinson played by Neil Patrick Harris. Maybe it’s NPH’s charm I don’t know.

Favorite moment: Barney proposes to Robin. Why is that scene NOT on youtube?

Star vs. The Forces of Evil

A new cartoon???? What????? But yes, this show is funny, clever, actually pretty intense, and I don’t know the character of Star Butterfly I just think is so adorable and I just want to hug her, I just love her personality. I love how this show takes its time to develop each character and each battle at the end of each episode never gets old because of the energy that’s present. It’s just always moving and I love it.

Steven Universe

This is one of the most creative, funniest, emotional, BEAUTIFUL, and adorable cartoons I have ever seen. Period. That’s right I said period. Not only that, I put a period after the word period and ended that with a period so you know it’s not the only period….. What am I talking about?

Favorite moment: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EzbY_fHo5k0

Arrested Development

This is one of the funniest shows I have ever seen. The concept is brilliant and every single character is relatable and hilarious. Even if not all of them are necessarily great people. I love the writing in this show and I just love how weirdly different it is. Probably Jason Batemans best work and Michael Cera…. Actually no, Ceras best work is Scott Pilgrim through and through….

South Park

This is probably the funniest show on TV now in my opinion. Every single piece of satire this show has to offer is just so clever and so insane that it’s hard not to get in to this show. But not only that, when the show gets serious, it’s heartbreaking. Like, when it gets serious, it gives us harsh realities and it doesn’t mess around. Not only do I think it’s one of the funniest but I also think it’s important.

Favorite moment: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N3rLOsCB3h4 It’s a compilation of the funniest moments so here.

Bojack Horseman

I already wrote an article about why this is MY FAVORITE TV SHOW. So if you want to check it out, check it out.

Rick and Morty

Aside from South Park, this is probably the funniest TV show I have ever seen. Everything here is just so creative and insane that I just want to see what happens next, and every single time I do, I laugh so hard. Rick and Morty are such likable characters and I want to see them succeed every time and I want to see more. Good job Adult Swim.

Favorite moment: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n9YBeNpUw3s

Stranger Things

I literally can’t say anything that everyone hasn’t already said about this show. Just watch it. It’s amazing.

Favorite moment: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ce_5tK8cRD8 It’s in this compilation. It’s Eleven going up to the monster.

Key and Peele / Important Things with Demetri Martin

I put these together because they’re both pretty similar. They’re both comedic sketch comedies and that’s really their main purpose. Key and Peele and Demetri Martin are my favorite comedians right now and these shows make me crack up over how clever they are with the jokes they’re going for. That’s about it. It’s hard explaining a sketch comedy show.

Favorite Key and Peele moment: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Pg6tfanYmY

Favorite Demetri Martin moment: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TzFkEdO7FqA

I also like Tim and Erics Awesome Show.

That’s about it. Watch these shows. Now. I beg. Please?

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
