The characters of a party are much like a familiar book. We all know them.

Regardless of the University that you attend it seems like the same people show up to every party. We don't know where they all come from but if you have attended a college party in the last decade. I do not understand how we see these people nationwide at parties, but they are also what makes the college party unique. We love these people and love that they choose to spend their weekend with us. You will recognize the people listed below, in fact, you may be one of them. Be sure to share with your friend if you do see them on this list.

1. Aux Cord Adam

"Yo dude, I got aux," he will say from across the room. Nobody knows him but he has made it his personal mission to be the DJ of your party. His songs consist of his favorite songs that no one knows the lyrics to.

2. Frat Rat Kat

Sigma Chi, SAE, Lambda, if the house is open she will be there. Her snap stories always consist of her and a friend an hour before a party taking a picture in front of fraternity letters in a bathroom.

3. Crying Courtney

I honestly think she just goes to frat houses to cry; every issue is a big issue. The girl she hates is here, a drop of beer was spilled on her, and she dropped her phone in a puke filled urinal. We get it: your life is hard.

4. Beer Pong Ben

This guy is the king of the pong table. He knows every rule like the back of his hand and will call you out on every rule like a referee. He is your best friend when you play with him and your worst enemy when you play against him. Every shot taken resembles a 3 pointer Steph Curry shot and he sinks every one.

5. Medic Macy

This is the girl that feels like it's her life mission on this earth to take care of everyone that is puking. She provides water for all the fallen and regularly monsters the sick. We thank you.

6. Elevated Surfaces Ellen

Do you know what would look so cool? You dancing on a bar top or table, chanting the lyrics to "Paris" by the Chainsmokers. Do you know what else would be cool? Being featured on barstool for being the 5th girl this weekend to fall while standing on an elevated surface. You want to be cool, don’t you?

7. The Bathroom Brittany

You know who we are talking about: her favorite room in the house is the bathroom. She never leaves, but she is never going to the bathroom either, confusing? I know. At some point, you would want to ask yourself, “Do I really want to get plastered to hang out in a dirty bathroom?”

8. Super Senior Seth

This guy was supposed to graduate 4 years ago. One would think he is going to be a doctor after spending 8 years in college. If you thought that, you would be wrong. The Seth concerns his time complaining that there is not enought hot girls at the party, and then proceeds to hit on the new freshman class.

9. Creepy Cole

No one actually invited him but he shows up based on a snapchat of the party's address. The only girls he talks to are the ones in relationships but that does not stop him. He doesn't really have true friends just people he parties with and ultimately ends up getting turned down or kicked out of the party.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
