Recently there has been a discovery of a new zodiac sign, Ophiuchus. This constellation is in between Sagittarius and Scorpus. In January NASA made an announcement about the new sign but it recently has gone viral. What this means is there is a shift in the calender between Scorpio (Oct. 23 to Nov. 21) and Sagittarius (Nov. 22 to Dec. 21), altering people's signs. Some don't trust NASA's report and some are questioning their own knowledge.
This constellation, named Ophiuchus was conveniently ignored by the Babylonians when they made their zodiac calendar more than 3,000 years ago. They were going by a moon-based calendar that perfectly correlated with the 12 constellations. The sky has shifted because of Earth's axis and the North Pole doesn't point in the same direction. So if you had a birthday on August 4th you would have been originally a Leo but you would be born under the sign Cancer.
If you were born between November 29th and December 17th (like myself), you are an Opicuchus. It is a snake-holding man also called Serpantarius, and you are a peace-seeker who has a thirst for knowledge. The information I researched is from NASA and Cosmopolitan. This was just some interesting news that I wanted to share! I would love to hear what you think about this new zodiac sign!
