Every college campus that has a theatre department there's sure to be a clan of theatre majors. While most people probably see them all as the same type of person...one may be surprised at the vast variety of thespians

1. The Musical Theatre major

This is probably the person you're think of when you thing "theatre major". They're probably loud, wearing character shoes often and loves to be center of attention. But I promise, this is only a small percentage of theatre majors

2. The Actor

Actors are usually a bit more toned down compared to the typical musical theatre major. They're still a bit dramatic. They can usually be found participating in some sort of strange theatre game.

3. The Scenic Designer with a vision

These are the more artsy kids involved with theatre. They still know every word to Wicked but they can probably be seen covered head to toe in paint rather than character shoes. They've gone a little crazy due the fact that they're literally being working on a hand drafting project until 3am, BUT they have a killer idea for the set of the upcoming show!

4. The Hamilton Groupies

I have little words. You know who you are.

5. the Stage Managing major

They look like this always. They know everything about the theatre and make everyone's lives easier but are rarely given the recognition for it. These guys have seen every aspect of a show and somehow still love it.

6. The Lighting Majors

These guys have there gobos, gels and gaff tape ready to do. They have spent long hours using CueLab making lighting and focus plots. For some reason they always have a wrench in their back pocket....

7. The Freshmen

These freshies are new to the whole college thing and most of the time are use to being the big star at their high school (especially if they came from a small town). These guys are not only trying to adjust to college life but trying to meet everyone and audition for shows which are often the first week of classes! They might be going a little nuts but they're hopeful and ready to make a place for themselves.

StableDiffusion

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
