College is a time in life where you will meet many different types of people from all parts of the country, and maybe the world. There are some personality types that occur on multiple occasions, which the character's of Grey's Anatomy display brilliantly.

1. The Owen Hunt

You probably know this person as the mom or dad of the group. They like to take charge and have that hard exterior, but really this person is looking to keep everyone happy. Even if you don't know this person, you always see them around campus because they're literally involved in everything.

2. The Callie Torres

This girl probably won best dressed for the high school superlatives. While a lot of people may not like her at first, they begin to see that her bold personality is just a front. Once you learn who this girl really is, you've got a friend for life.

3. The Mark Sloan

That frat boy you've seen with five different girls this week? Yeah, that's a Mark Sloan. Everybody is surprised when this person settles down. He really is a hopeless romantic at heart.

4. The Derek Shepherd

More than likely the SGA president. This person is super moody but makes up for it in looks.

5. The Alex Karev

This person gives off a vibe that they don't really care about anything, when in fact they care about everything. They're just looking for the meaning of their life, although you wouldn't really know it because of the amount of people they end up bringing home. You won't regret getting to know this person, if you can get passed the hard shell.

6. The Meredith Grey

This person has a dark and twisty past that still influences their life, but that doesn't mean they don't know how to have a good time. She never really knows what she wants but still acts on impulse. This is the person that usually is only close with one or two people because they don't want the burden of letting people in. This person is also bound to fall for someone they really know they shouldn't.

7. The Miranda Bailey

That one person everyone always turns to for advice. Usually tells you things you don't want to hear but need to. Always looking out for everyone other than themself. They display this through their, "I'm the boss" mentality. This person is probably an RA or an advisor or some sort.

8. The Cristina Yang

Probably the valedictorian. There really isn't anything this person isn't good at. They're not going to let anything get in their way.

Just about everyone you'll meet in college will fall under one of these, or even a mixture of some of them. So, which do you think you are?

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
