To start out with this video is very deep and explores some issues that are normally overlooked in our culture. From my perspective, it addresses a deeply theological issue of sexual sin. it starts with a man and women in the form of a monkey and a sheep. They both are searching for something and so they go on an adventure to a place that seems like paradise. After this place of paradise, they go to the darker area. This dark place is what they have been looking for. Inside this dark place is the tree that they are searching for. This is the tree of knowledge of good and evil. After this, they escape and they are able to get away or so it seems. Shortly after they are free this turns into a noose and they are suffocated slowly. As they gaze up at their actual physical bodies. Part of them has now been given over to this sin and they cannot get it back.
The monkey man is a Christian as is the women sheep. The monkey's hat shows that he is of Jewish decent. Paradise at the start is the start of their relationship and everything is wonderful and great however as things progress they want more. This leads to them exploring the dark caves of love. There are warning signs and however, it is overall very easy to keep going. This is a symbol of our culture and how easy it is to explore sex and how it is often encouraged. After they have had sex or they have given into their sexual desires they run. However, it is futile as they may have escaped the death but their sin is still with them. In other words, maybe they covered their sin up so that no one would know about what happened but the fact that it still happened remains. This sin and not being dealt with leads to shame and even to depression as they now have to come to grips with the actions that they have chosen. They are now trapped and they know it. The effects and the reality of their sin sink in. They now have to come to grips with the effects of sin.
They tempted and explored their sin. From the start, Knu does a wonderful job of setting the tone. A somber idea and somber feeling. The reality and the gravity of this situation need to be recognized. Sin in of itself will not go away and it will stay. When pursuing someone in any type of romantic relationship going too far sexual needs to be dealt with. Without the lack of awareness it will lead to a very dark place and lead to mistakes. While God does forgive sometimes those scars and baggage will remain for a very long time and we need to be aware of the possibility and the consequences of sin. It seems enticing it seems like something good that we all should strive for however the spiritual damage that comes from it is something that cannot be ignored.
