It is finally summertime. The days are getting longer and the sun is getting hotter. What better way to spend your summer days than enjoying the beautiful summer weather? Unfortunately for you, facing that summer sun can be a struggle. Here are some things that only people with pale skin have to deal with in the warm summer heat.

Planning to spend your summertime lounging and relaxing by the poolside in the sun...

The sweet smell of summertime is finally here. You have already made it a goal to get that nice summer glow. Your days are going to consist of laying outside hoping for that crisp summer tan.

The result of those people that can actually get tan...

We all know those people that spend one day laying out in the sun and they instantly turn into beach babes.

What happens when you spend your day in the sun...

You, on the other hand, are not like your fortunate friends. You turn to burnt toast out there. After your day in the sun is a failure you have to undergo the unbearable consequences. Your body aches in pain with every slight movement you make.

"Well, I was just hoping that I wouldn't burn to death."

When you knew the odds were not going to be so ever in your favor but you still went outside anyways. What brave souls we are.

Even when you lather up with sunscreen, you still burn.

Sunscreen is a joke. No matter how much you put on or how often you apply it, you somehow still manage to look like a lobster after being outside. You might as well just eat sunscreen. Maybe that would be help!

The aftermath of sunburn...

Applying that aloe and relief lotion..is it even worth it? Not only do you not want people to look at your tomato skin but for God sake, don't even think about touching it.

You might as well just show off those awful marks. Embrace them! Be proud!

Those embarrassing burn lines....

The farmer's tan is my personal favorite when you have burnt skin on the arms and pasty white T-shirt lines. That's something to be proud of!

To all my fellow pale skinned human beings, there is nothing we can possibly do to prevent such an epidemic in this summertime heat. Therefore, we must embrace it! So lather up, cover your self in clothing, wear your hats and sunglasses. Even though you may not get that beach babe look you were hoping for, go out and relax and enjoy the sweet summertime!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
