When it comes to college students there will always be stereotypes that we wish weren't true, but we admit that we know they are true. Just as it is true for guys on campus, it's true for girls as well. There are so many categories that you could place people in on your campus, but for girls, it’s easy to place them into a category based on fashion.

Fashion trends, whether we mean to pay attention to them or not, are one of the first things girls notice on others while walking around campus. Sometimes it’s easier to pinpoint some of these girls, while others may be completely unnoticed as you pass them on the sidewalk. So here are 6 types of girls you see on campus based on their outfits.

1. The One Who Wears Athletic Clothes… Everywhere

It’s no secret that a popular trend for college students is athleisure. Nowadays, you see college girls wearing this style almost everywhere you turn. The real question is: are they on their way to work out or hang out with friends? (Hint: probably hang with friends.)

2. The One Wearing the Oversized Shirt

These are the girls that are most likely in a sorority, but of course, not all girls who wear oversized shirts are in one. However, it is a common denominator for most sorority girls. Are they wearing shorts underneath? Are they wearing it like a dress? No one will ever know!

3. The Sorority Girl

You can usually spot these girls from a mile away, solely because they are probably repping their sorority with their letters somewhere on their person. They’ve got a pin, the shirt, a hat or headband. Whatever the case is, you can almost always tell when you are about to approach a sorority girl on campus.

4. The Fashionista

They’re either a fashion major or just really care about looking presentable for class. These are the girls that make an effort to get up early enough to put on a full face of makeup, do their hair and pick out a cute outfit, and still be out the door on time. We all secretly want to be them because they seem like they truly have their life together.

5. The One That Just Doesn’t Care

This is the person who is clearly just all over the place with their life. They’re probably the one that is late to class, walking in with disheveled wet hair, no makeup, an outfit that doesn’t match at all and confused about what is going on. There is no point in denying that we’ve all been in this situation at least once during our college years.

6. The Athlete

If you have male athletes on campus, you're bound to have some female ones as well. When you see these girls on campus, your first thought is "Wow, they are so fit," and that's because they are! They, just like male athletes, are probably repping their sports team on their shirt as well as wearing a backpack with their number on it.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
