I've been home for a couple of days now and I've hardly touched my overfilled duffle bag. My shoes are scattered around my room and my bed is unmade. Trinkets of high school memories fill the corners and crevices of my room and it hits me: I'm home ... and not just for the short term. Here begins my six-week break at home. Six weeks -- that's about 42 days away from my favorite place on earth, and 42 days away from my friends, homework, and unidentifiable on-campus food. Here begins the process of readjusting to home.
Regardless of how you spend your break, just remember it is a time to relax with friends and family. Don't stress over the little stuff like your future or next semester classes, and try to enjoy your home away from home. Take in the free food and laundry and all the time you get to spend with your pets, because before you know it, you'll be back at school again.
