The Sky

A poetic culmination of notions inside a teen's mind.

The sky is so pretty, it gives hope they say

Capture it. it's so real, surreal

It talks to me, to us in a thousand different ways.

The way it changes texture reminds me of so many things.

Blue signifies memory, grey represents grief

Pink signifies affection and black says just don't heave.

We lie facing the sky, it is a whole new vibe. We don't even produce a sound

We make cloud paintings and briefly giggle, it is just so profound.

What is worry, what is a frown, what is a sigh

Please I just don't want to know it now.

But alas, only if we could live like this

Hand in hand, soul in soul, and staring at the the beauty made for us which we now renounce.

Now, this isn't a problem for everyone but for some people who suffer from mental illness, this is a reality.

NYC Classrooms struggle with marijuana and high students

The Cannabis landscape has changed, and so have what schools experience
