It’s finally summer. You get to throw your papers away and relax! You are so excited that you finished your classes and finals that you almost forget you have to come back next fall, ALMOST. However, there is one constant reminder crushing your end-of-year high: your graduating friends. They finished their four years of hell and are definitely flaunting the fact that they get to walk out of this place and never return. Meanwhile, you’re going to enjoy your summer, but always be dreading the return of August. Here are six thoughts we have all had watching our senior friends leave us.
1. That initial realization that, soon, they will be leaving you.
2. Listening to their post-grad plans and you are so excited for them to start their life and do amazing things.
I am so proud of my best friends.
3. Partying with them to celebrate!
Any excuse to celebrate is a great excuse.
4. When the jealousy sets in because you realize you still have a lot of school left.
Take me with you!
5. Listening to them talk about their senioritis
And how they don’t have the motivation to finish their last few assignments. Meanwhile, you still have years left.
6.Seeing them actually graduate and knowing they will be successful adults.
I believe in you!
Congrats to the Class of 2016. I may be bitterly jealous, but still, I am so proud of you all.
