With the Spring season finally here and warm weather upon us, that could only mean one thing. Darties are everyone's favorite seasonal activities. For girls, it's the first time the knit tanks get thrown on and paired with a trendy pair of sandals while the guys are running around in boat shoes and pastel colored khakis. Good vibes only. As a senior this upcoming darty season will be the one of the lasts times it will be acceptable to wake up in the morning and have a glass of sangria for breakfast...lunch...and most likely dinner as well.

For those who are unaware of what a "darty" is, it is a party that takes place during the day. The most glorious feeling of a darty is raging with all of your friends in one place because the fact of the matter is ever since you turned 21 you probably haven't turned up with any of your "20 minus" friends.

As graduation rapidly creeps up behind us it's incredibly difficult to say goodbye to this phase in our lives. Our four collegiate years were filled with amazing memories, long reckless nights, and friends that turned into family. This darty season will be weeks of celebrating the past and welcoming the future or in other words, out post-graduate lives.

How do we really go out with a bang this darty season? For every night spent in the library over the past years will be replaced with a keg-stand, for each 8AM we had to wake up and endure, a jell-O shot, and for each time we passed up a night to go out, we will make up for it each weekend afternoon surrounded by our best friends and classmates.

Lastly, the darty season true significance is to bring out the college student in you. Once we graduate, there will always be a bar to go to, reunion parties to attend but to return to the backyard to your favorite frat house will be a rare opportunity that must be taken advantage of now.
