Summer is coming up, and if you are anything like me, then you are not bikini ready. Well, I have discovered a secret that makes dieting fun and will bring that summer body back in no time. Acai Smoothie Bowls are all the rage right now. First off their delicious and you're not going to believe it they are, wait for it, healthy. Yes, these delicious bowls are indeed good for you. Now, I know what your thinking. How can something taste so good, and be good for you at the same time? Well, acai berry contains antioxidants and fiber that are beneficial. I know these mystical wonders seem really complicated to make, but they are in fact extremely easy.

All you need to make the acai smoothie bowls are frozen unsweetened acai, which you can find in Publix down the frozen fruit isle, fresh fruit of your choice, granola, and honey. And a blender of course. The cool thing about these bowls is you can pretty much put whatever you want into them. For example, the one I will use as an example is the one I usually make, so I put banana, pineapple, and mango, but you can substitute any of that fruit for fruit of your choosing.

The first step is to soften the frozen acai berry, by running it under warm water for about 30 seconds. You do not want to make the frozen berry melt fully, though. It needs to be somewhat frozen still so it keeps a smoothie consistency. I usually add ice to it while blending to keep it cool, and thick.

The next step is to cut up the fruit of your choosing, so I cut up fresh pineapple, mango, and banana. I put half of it into the blender then I leave half of it to the side for when the bowl is blended. Do not blend all of the fruit at once if you are in a hurry because it takes longer than gradually adding it. I blend the fruit and acai together for five minutes total.

The last step is too put the blended acai into a bowl. I add the left over cut up fruit on top, along with honey and granola. Sometimes I add bee pollen or flax seeds. It all really depends on what you like.

That is it. This is super easy to make and only takes about 20 minutes total. This smoothie bowl is surprisingly extremely filling and tastes amazing. This makes dieting and eating health fun.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
