The Rise Of Exploring Abandoned Places

Recently the foundation of urbex explorers has expanded across the country. Urban exploring or urbex is the exploration of man-made structures and buildings that are abandoned. It is the “new” and exciting activity to do, all you need to do is go find an abandoned building and take a look around. There has been an explosion on Instagram of different urbex accounts and pictures popping up everywhere. These pictures are so captivating and interesting, that’s why there are so many people wanting to get on board and make their account more appealing and to see what its like to go exploring. Urbex accounts communicate with each other to find out more information about each site and how to get in. Many urbex accounts get asked by people to show them abandoned places each day. Old, dismantled, crumbling and broken is the new look for pictures on Instagram and Facebook accounts. A picture’s does speak a thousand words, though traveling those halls gives you a feeling a picture cannot produce.

The only problem people have with exploring all these places is to make sure they do it without getting noticed or caught by cops or security. Though, for an explorer that can be part of the excitement of getting into buildings. From the time when when officers notice people have been getting in, they try harder to block windows and doors so that people cannot get in. That does not stop any explorer it essentially gives their brain a job to think of a new and clever way to get into a building. Also, people know that no security or cops want to follow you into an old abandoned building particularly during the night.

An explorer does not simply walk into a place they see has been left to rot over the years. First they need to check to make sure they are not going to a dangerous building, that is too damaged to walk through properly and not having to stare at their feet the whole time. It is all about being careful of picking which place to explore and knowing the layout of the land before getting on site incase there is any problems or needed to get out quickly not to get caught. This is why an ordinary person should not try this on their own, the first time you go exploring make sure you are with someone who has been to places before and knows what the situation is when you get there.

Getting into urban exploring is something not everyone is not interested in doing, though it has spiked since the summer. Being able to see the hallways and buildings with your own eyes is an experience. The creation and beauty of these buildings that have been left alone over the years is incomparable to an old building or haunted houses portrayed in movies. It also gives an explorer many feelings walking around these places including excitement and amazement. Creeping around old buildings doesn’t sound to be such a fun hobby for people however it really is. While exploring you can also run into other urbex explorers and share your information and stories about the place you are at currently or give them an idea where to go next. The large amount of urbex explores will not rest until there are no more places to explore, these people are going out of the state and traveling all over to find new places each weekend. If you are interested in going on your first trip to an abandoned building, remember to go with someone who knows their way around.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
