Returning To School After Break, As Told By 'Bob's Burgers'

Spring break is often a much needed (and well deserved) time off from class and responsibilities since it's the only time most of us have off throughout the entire spring semester. Your planned vacations with friends or family, or even just the act of never leaving your couch or your grip of the TV remote had never felt better. But the week goes by faster than we all realize and soon enough we end up right back to our daily grind of boring lectures, tedious professors, and copious amounts of work and tasks.

Here's the rundown of the immediate return from spring break as told by "Bob's Burger's":

1. You forget what your morning alarm even sounds like.

That initial ring of your alarm is an equivalence to an army drill siren.

2. You rise out of bed and remember this week back from break is going to be hellish.

It's just that point in the semester where professors are really starting to get into the material and finish up the course with as much grades and big projects as possible.

3. When you get to the kitchen and realize you forgot to re-stock your favorite breakfast food...

Now your whole morning is just thrown off and to make it worse, now you're starving.

4. You don't understand why it's called spring semester because your commute to class is still cold and snowy...

And your school is really picky when it comes to announcing snow days, so it's always fun risking your life to go sit in a classroom.

5. And you show up a tad late of course...

Your typical getting-ready-in-the-morning rundown just escaped from you after a week of no class, sorry!

6. So you sit down in your first class to your professor already going over this week's homework...

At this point you're like, "Can I just breathe for a second sir...?!"

7. And then you sit down at your next class whose professor assigned an exam immediately after break...

As you read over that first question, you've never felt information escape your brain faster in that moment.

8. You didn't realize how much the slow-walkers would bother you today...

We've all been stuck behind one before, but for some reason, this individual's pace is getting on your last nerves and you start to question their mental state.

9. Since missing breakfast, your hunger has never hit you quite like this before at this point of the day...

So this is why you immediately hit the supermarket some time soon...

10. You're excited to see that certain someone after a week of break, but I guess they didn't really feel the same about you...

Or at least they didn't show it as you two walked past one another...

11. Your third and final class' professor is doing something that you can at least stand...

But the term "stand" is still used loosely...

12. You finally get back to your apartment and roommates at the end of the day...

Don't think I've ever found a more relatable GIF...

13. But you're thankful for these friends because luckily they think the same way you do after a long day back...

Everybody needs their own Linda in their lives, and your friends do a good job at being one.

14. Soon you realize your tolerance has plummeted since being back...

But you're not complaining of course...

15. You're just excited to continue this trend over again tomorrow because it's only a Monday night!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
