There are so many things that I truly love about my school, however the housing selection process isn't one of them. This past year, Quinnipiac University had the largest class of freshman come into this wonderful community. However by being the largest class, the class of 2019 had a more stressful housing selection process than normal. The context below basically sums up all of our experiences...as told by the wonderful television show of "Parks and Rec."
1. You realize that you get to live with all of your friends next year...
2. So you start making your group early in the semester.
3. You fantasize about all the wonderful places that you might get to live in.
4. Yet, it's all fun and games until the lottery numbers come out.
5. Even better, the amount of people who can live in each suite changes last minute because the class size is too big.
6. So you're back to square one.
7. You think you have it all figured out until people change their minds at the last minute...
8. So again back to the drawing board.
9. You go on a bunch of meet ups and interviews to find new potential roommates.
10. Then the dreaded day comes of when to pick your housing.
11. You're about to click submit...
12. Until the system crashes...
13. So, of course, you wait around and contemplate your future.
14. And then the system restarts and the selection is back up and running.
15. If you're lucky enough, you'll get your first, second or even third choice.
16. But we all can't have nice things.
17. Even though you might not have gotten the suite of your dreams it could be worse...
18. Some students didn't even get housing.
19. But you know you will make the best out of your living situation.
20. You start talking with your future roomies about how you want to set up your new suite.
21. You start getting more and more excited for the following year.
21. All in all, everything will always work out.
22. Until you have to go through this wonderful process all over again the following year.
