Everyone has a movie that they really enjoy. Whether it's an action, comedy, horror, or drama film, everyone has that one film that they love to watch over and over again. It's a type of movie that never leaves the person's heart and is enjoyed by them and many other people throughout history. However, none of these movies are safe anymore from the evil side of Hollywood. Every movie as seen today has the potential of being thrown back into production and becoming another horrifying: Hollywood Remake! (Dun Dun DUNNNNNN!).
While not all Hollywood remakes can be bad, the problem right now is the fact that Hollywood has run out of ideas. Since this is the case, they decide that they should remake all of the most popular movies that have ever been made. Movies like "Ghostbusters," "The Mummy" and many others are always seen as back in production and going back into the theaters with new actors and actresses. The problem with this is the fact that the movies being remade are the ones that people actually do enjoy. Imagine if Hollywood decided to remake huge movie successes like "Lord of the Rings," "Star Wars," "Harry Potter" or even single movies like "Forrest Gump," "Saving Private Ryan" or "The Shawshank Redemption." It would probably bomb in theaters and give the original movies a bad name to the people who haven't seen the original movies yet.
Personally, if Hollywood was smart, they would try to remake the movies that didn't do so well if they really have no other ideas for a movie. Constantly remaking movies that are enjoyed by so many people to begin with is a little strange and it also irritates people when Hollywood is willing to change a movie that everyone loves just to see if they can make more money off of it. If they were willing to try and remake a movie that didn't do so well, then I don't think as many people would care and people would probably still end up seeing it.
The problem is that Hollywood doesn't have any new ideas and when they can't think of anything, they decide that the best thing to do is remake a huge success movie and that way they can make more money off of that title. Hollywood really needs to learn that the people that enjoyed the movie in the past don't want to see it remade, especially when there's no reason for it. Personally, Hollywood needs to try their best to just think of new movie ideas and leave the classics alone. The audience is sick and tired of seeing new remakes of their favorite movies. If Hollywood would stop with the constant remakes, the audience would be a lot happier.
