The Prayer That Turned Into A Poem

Here's a poem I wrote more than a year ago while I was praying and became overwhelmed with evils of this world.

PLEAD

Love is all we need

although we're not from that breed

we wish for it to conceive

evil is all we see

and hate is what proceeds

this passionate seed for He

He

please hear my plead

come because Love is all we need


Love is all we need

oh and I wish I didn't have to plead

I wish our innocence was naive just like the beginnings of Adam and Eve

but our sin, that sin you see is what creeps

and messes up all ease

but I ask Lord that you give us that seed

to every heart in need

because Love covers all greed and all types of disease

please hear my plead

endow in us that seed for

He

because He is all we need

"Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins." - 1 Peter 4:8

Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away." - 1 Corinthians 13:4-8
