As an Art History major, I always get asked the question "What do you want to do with that?" To be quiet honest, I'm not even sure what I want to do with my life. All I know is that I love art and want to share it to the world. People often perceive Art History as a boring subject involving stacks of flashcards that would take you a good whole week to memorize. However, there are a lot of good things about being an art history major that people don't realize, and the things you will learn and benefit from studying art will astound you! These are the perks of being an Art History major.
1) You only need to take one math class.
2) You learn about different cultures.
3) Feel free to go to any museum and draw the artwork.
4) The cute cafes at the museums. A big plus.
5) You can study abroad in Paris, Florence, and London!
6) You'll definitely know a few words in Italian and French. Bravo!
7) You'll be spending a lot of time in the basement of the library looking through old dusty books.
8) You can go to Art Galas, which means...
9) You can get away with wearing outrageously abstract and colorful clothes.
10) You learn different art mediums and techniques!
