Christmas is exactly one week away! Those who got a head start on the holiday season will be at ease, sipping hot cocoa next to a perfectly decorated tree while the other half is running about the mall trying to scrounge up some last minute gifts. If you are one of these people, then you are part of over 40% of shoppers who buy gifts just days before Christmas. Here are some gift ideas for everyone in the family to help you pull off this seemingly impossible feat.

1. For Dad

Dads are often hard to shop for because there isn't a lot of options. The classic dad gifts involve shaving razors or watches, but how many razors can one man own?! Technology is always a good idea because Dads like to feel like their one of the cool kids. Dads can also appreciate a good gag gift, so don't be afraid to make him laugh this Christmas.

2. For Mom

The trick when buying gifts for Mom is to buy her gifts she normally wouldn't buy herself. Jewelry and clothes are hard to pick out, so unless she tells you exactly what she wants, there is a 99% chance she will return whatever she gets. Kitchenware is also a hit or miss because it isn't very exciting. You can't go wrong with bags because Moms are always carrying things and homemade gift are fun and will warm her heart. A gift service like Fab Fit Fun is also a great idea because it's a gift that keeps on giving.

3. For the Grandparents

Grandparents LOVE their grandchildren and kids more than anything and will appreciate any gift involving them. From experience, grandmas love jewelry that incorporates their grandkids and grandpas will adore any grill-ware, gardening-ware, or house-ware with their grandchildren on it.

4. For the Teens

Teens are often the hardest to shop for because they are very picky. They normally want whatever's on trend. Clothes are always a great option, too. When in doubt, gift card it out.

5. For the Kids

Activities. Activities. ACTIVITIES. Kids love to be entertained, so any gift that will entertain them will be a big hit. Hatchimals are the latest craze, but they are often hard to find so if you are shopping last minute you might have missed out on this trend. Games are a great idea because they will keep the kids out of your hair while you are trying to get Christmas dinner on the table.

6. For Anyone

People like two things: comfort and entertainment. Technology is great for any age group as well as anything soft or that will keep them warm during the long winter months.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
