There are many wonderful creatures on this planet: gigantic elephants, loyal dogs, playful monkeys...but none come close to the perfection achieved by one animal. What is this incredible gift to mankind, you ask? Well, friend, I'll tell you. It is the common house cat. I understand that you may be confused upon first reading that, so let me explain why.

1. So. Much. Fluff!

How is it possible for one creature to be that furry and soft? The world may never know, but we are forever in their debt.

2. Cat Videos

Seriously, what did people even do before they could laugh at cats on the Internet?

3. They're Independent

Look, they really don't need your attention 24/7. They'll let you know when it's time to feed them and when you're allowed to pet them.

4. Cat Paws

Nothing is as adorable as cat paws. Nothing.

5. Cats Create Jobs

They have single pawedly turned the laser pointer business into a booming market.

6. Best Nappers Ever

Cats have mastered napping. We might as well just give up because we will never match their nap skills.

7. The Very Best At Cuddling

Wow! Incredible cuddles! True, they don't cuddle on demand, but it's totally worth the wait.

8. Sometimes They Freak Out

Occasionally they're startled by something, but most of the time, they're just practicing their ninja skills.

9. Purring

How many other creatures can you think of that purr when they're happy? That is magical.

10. They're Absolute Angels

They would never ever do anything bad on purpose! Probably. And the room really looks better without that vase anyway.

Cats are a blessing that should never be ignored! Unless they don't want your attention right now. That does happen sometimes. Just be ready to adore them when they decide it's time.
