To The People Who Have Been There For Me: Thank You

Not everyone will understand me, or want to be in my life, but none of that matters if I have you all.

To The People Who Have Been There For Me: Thank You
Kara Glore

You know who you are. The one who were by my side when I was at my lowest, the ones who stuck through our friendship no matter how rough things got or whatever circumstances. You all have been my rock and I would be nowhere near where I am today without you, so thank you, from the bottom of my heart. You could never know how much it all means to me; the late night talks, the times laughing so hard we cried over the dumbest little things, the secrets that we told each other and promised we would never tell. I truly hold each and every one of you so close to my heart, and honestly my life would be so boring without any of you. Here is a list, of the reasons why I cherish each of you more than you could know.

1. When I am an emotional mess, you told me I was beautiful and I deserve the world.

Not only is this the most comforting thing to hear in a time of heartbreak, but it truly made me realize my self-value. I am bigger than whatever hardships I may face, and I am stronger than that. With God on my side, I can do absolutely anything, and with all of you, it makes the journey life has thrown at me more like a road trip. You made me feel whole and beautiful, even when I was in sweats watching Kardashian's eating ice cream on the couch with you. You made me see that I am worth so much more than the small things that I let get to me. I love you all so much. Thank you to the moon and back for being you.

2. You make me forget about the chaos in my life, and I would do anything for you because of that.

Just like any other person, I really have quite the complications in my life, yet you still hold me together and help me feel like my life isn't totally falling apart. Because of who you are, and because of what you do, I would do absolutely anything for you or the people you love. I will never turn my back on you, because you have been there for me through thick and thin, and I know you would never hesitate to do anything for me, as I would for you. When we hang out, go out, do anything, you help me have fun and be myself instead of worrying constantly about what will happen next in my life. Thank you for keeping me sane, and thank you for loving me for me.

3. You understand me, and remind me that I got this. I could not get through life without you.

To some people, I might be hard to read. I'm crazy and outgoing, and just love to have fun. On another hand, I am also extremely serious, dedicated and focused. It's hard to understand and grasp for some people, but you still understand my wild complexity. Even when it becomes too much for other people to handle, it doesn't make you flinch. I hate when people do me wrong, because I would never hurt anyone intentionally. When this happens, I sort of shut down, and it is all I focus on. Even through this you still remind me and constantly support me with fun times, and reassurance that I am strong and confident and kind. You remind me that I am that crazy, fun-loving and bubbly person. You bring out the absolute best in me, and I could never be who I am without your unending love and support.

Please know how important you are to me, and how truly special you are. You deserve the world, and nothing but pure happiness. I could never say thank you enough, but thank you thank you for all you have done, and continue to do for me. I love you for who you are, and I will always be here for you, like you all have been for me. Friendships come and go, but the bonds we have will never ever fade.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
