The People On Social Media We're Sick Of

Stop flipping your phone camera around and focus on driving, selfie queens.

Between excessive hashtags and constant status updates, it's time everyone closed their laptops for a bit.

Selfie Superstars.

We all know these culprits. "Good morning!" selfie. "All natural todayyy." Good one, but you're wearing foundation and mascara. "Got my Starbucks. Mmm!" Congratulations. These people have uploaded the same picture of their face at least 12 times a day through MyStory, Instagram, or Facebook. Just because you add a coffee cup or other slightly interesting prop in your hand doesn't make it creative and doesn’t make your face look any different from the last 10. I know what you look like already, the whole world does, and if you are one of these people then accept that you are an attention seeking narcissist.

Status Spazzes.

Please, no. The world does not want to see your depressing late night thought or passive aggressive status about someone taking advantage of you, again. Or someone owing you money. Or "you know who you are" totally hanging all over your boyfriend and needing to back off. My new favorite that pops up on the timeline is "Bored 2nite. Who wants 2 hang? ;)" If you let your emotions and social schedule -- or lack, thereof -- dictate your Facebook status, you are more than guilty of being one of these people.

Day-of-the-weekers. Man Crush Monday. Transformation Tuesday. Woman Crush Wednesday. Throwback  Thursday. Flashback Friday. And the ever-dreaded, Selfie Sunday. I completely understand occasionally participating in these fun trending topics. I'm guilty of doing so many a time, myself, but if you can't get it to the end of the  weekday on a regular basis without getting yet another picture of Ryan Gosling or Channing Tatum in black and white on your Instagram, then you have a problem.  Don't even get me started on Selfie Sunday. See selfie superstars above.

Hashtag whores. #goodvibes #positivethoughts #chillinonit #goodday #stayinghappy #bestfriendsever. Three hashtags is pushing it, and I've seen people get up to 10. You do not need this many hashtags attached to a quote picture about staying positive or a picture of your #legsorhotdogs #lol #bythepool pictures. Hashtags, like selfies, can be fun, but overkill is never a good idea.

BAE batterers. "Out with the bae." "Watch out town, the baes and I are out tonight!" If you don’t know by now, BAE stands for before anyone else. If you’re calling everyone your Bae, then the term really loses its point, altogether. No one needs five to 20 baes or this word in general, but for some reason, it has spread like wildfire on social media and it’s about time we put this one out.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Being Invisible The Best Super Power

The best superpower ever? Being invisible of course. Imagine just being able to go from seen to unseen on a dime. Who wouldn't want to have the opportunity to be invisible? Superman and Batman have nothing on being invisible with their superhero abilities. Here are some things that you could do while being invisible, because being invisible can benefit your social life too.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
