The Pains Of Finals Week

All the bad things that happen during the week of finals.

I think I can speak for any student that finals week can be a literal hell. It doesn't matter if they are high school finals or college finals, they can all be stressful and tough. There are so many things that affect students during finals week, like other classwork, jobs, clubs and organizations, and family stuff. It is definitely not easy, and that is the one thing that all students can relate to. No matter where you go, all these pains are crystal clear.

Not all of us keep a positive attitude about it, but what can you do? School can kick your butt sometimes.

The end of the semester can get a little crazy, and so can you, if you don't do any of your work like I know you didn't do.

We all hope that our exam grade is good but if we are being honest with ourselves, we are secretly praying that our professors will have some sympathy and curve the exam. We all need that curve!!

Sometimes trying to help your grades will only make it worse. You work so hard on that extra paper but you don't get the grade you want and it only takes your grade down. Other times, your grades go up but then all hell breaks loose, and your grades drop so low. Like when your professor puts in a few assignments and your grades go up but then it drops, and then you think, Oh well,I tried!

The "I just took that exam in 45 minutes and I still have no clue what I am even doing" walk. So basically, everyone's walk as they go to hand in their exams.

This happens to me all the time. First I think that I have this exam in the bag. But then I see my finals grade and then I think, well crap, I knew nothing. It's sad that I thought the final was so easy but really, I got most of the questions wrong.

You went to bed at three in the morning because you spent all night cramming for your exam and then this happens. Thanks professor! Now I get to take the exam exhausted and in my pajamas, I hope you like my onesie, its new!

Speaking of my new pajamas, here they are. I hope you all enjoy my finals outfit!

This is so true! The stress is so real I cannot even describe the feeling. I think everyone should get a medal for not stabbing someone with a fork. We made it through exam week—congrats!

This is going to be all of us. We want to deck out in Christmas stuff but we all still have to get up for class so we hide our Christmas shirts, socks, and underwear under crewnecks and boots till those exams are over. Once you are free, you can dress up in all of your Christmas attire no matter what!

Now that we all feel the same feels when it comes to exams, I hope we can all sympathize with each other and help each other out. Get some sleep, eat when you can, and study early! Try to do well on these exams but don't psych yourself out. If you keep calm you probably won't fail. You never know, right? Everybody help out and maybe finals won't be that bad, although that could also make it worse—so really just pray to God and do the best you can. Then get out of there fast so you don't have to think about it until you get your grade!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
