The Only Tips You Need To Stay Organized

I stand unsure if organizational and cleanly habits are inherited, learned or innate, but I got it. Reordering things from furniture to my desk top at home and going through to find out what I need and what I don't has always been my stress reliever. I like to know what I have and where it is. It saves me time, energy and money in the long-run. But you have to stay on top of it. You have to:

Make the time to sort and sift

Life is ever chaotic and busy, we all know too well. Still, be aggressive and strategic with spare time that comes up in order to go chisel a bit at a time.

Look to others for some help

You don't have to take on every project by yourself. Talk with friends and family around you that could see where you're at and where you would like to be as to try and assist some of the busy work of reordering, sorting through and even selling items. Express your concerns, where it is that needs work and your end goal.

Prioritize your objectives

Trust the process. Seriously, there can be a method to the madness. You can know your goals and where you would like to end up, but the means in which you get there will make or break the goal. You have to section it out, do a little at a time, and not push to do everything at once. Find a section that needs done, start there and eventually the work will be well underway.

Keep your attachment in check

Stuff is just stuff. People worry about whether or not they will need something in the future or not. In reality they will hold onto it forever and never end up using it. On the other hand, sentimental value is a factor that has a lot to do with why things pile up. You still have to be strategic with the "family fortunes" as to not have the unnecessary trinkets stacking themselves up.

Keep everything else tidy

It can become even more of a daunting project to organize things when the rest of the house is a mess. Save yourself more stress and strive to keep most other things tidy so that when you do begin to chip away at the bigger projects, they will not be as exhaustive.

Show stewardship

Mindset is key, and when the things of life start to crowd around you is when you need to start prioritizing. Being a good steward of your stuff starts with discipline and self control. Check the impulse before buying habits run ramped and the clutter continues. Be consistent with goal setting and accomplishing objectives. These will ensure that you will enjoy what you have and know what you have.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
