The Next Chapter After College

Most people work their whole lives to graduate college to pursue all sorts of different dreams. So what happens when you graduate? My mom and dad used to say that each part of your life is like a chapter in the book of your life. I never used to know what that meant until I graduated from high school and got to college. Each year at college had a new chapter of my life added on to the years of chapters before it. Now as graduation approaches in just three more days a chapter is about to end a new one approaches; Life after college.

For most people go to pursue their dream careers. Others go to Masters Programs or even Doctoral programs. No one truly knows what life has in store and what tomorrow will bring but what seems to be a common thread is that life is too short to not embrace everything life has to offer.

Life after college and getting a degree can bring on a new found sense of responsibilities and freedoms that one did not have while in college or in school in general. Some goals and dreams are shattered as the reality of their jobs and careers are not what they expected. But in that sadness comes a new sense of adventure into what can go on. Maybe you go back to school and find a new interest. maybe you apply for a new job or even travel to a new place with new people.

whatever happens life after college can bring a wave of emotions and new dreams and goals after your completion of college can be whatever you want them to be. For me I plan to live in the unknown and see where the journey of life takes me. All opportunities lay and wait to be discovered so go and grab them as fast as you can.

Goodluck to you all!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
