10 Reasons Why The Next 3 Months Will Be LIT!
The Break Room

OCTOBER THROUGH DECEMBER IS LIT. DONT EVEN ARGUE.

HAPPY HALLOTHANKSMAS.

1. Pumpkin EVERYTHING

I know when I am saying pumpkin flavored everything I am being a total white girl. But honestly I love pumpkin. Like pumpkin pie, pumpkin cookies, pumpkin coffee, and my list could go on for days on end. But you know I am not going to hate on the apples. You got caramel apples and cider. Like so good and still so yummy. (I am a total foodie)

2. Halloween

I love Halloween. Its my favorite holiday honestly. You can have so much fun on Halloween dressing up and getting candy. I mean I loved to Trick-r-Treat when I was a kid. Plus all the creepy and cool stuff that they sell in the stores. I always have to pull myself away from the Halloween section in the store because I get way to excited. But now going to the day after Halloween is like Black Friday for me.

3. Carving Pumpkins

This is one of my all time favorite traditions. Getting the pumpkin guts everywhere, attempting to carve a cool pumpkin but messing up and the best of all baking the pumpkin seeds. Baked pumpkin seeds are so yummy and you can make so many different flavors.

4. Bye Bye Bugs

In these months the bugs are gone. I hate bugs. They are annoying, stupid and gross. I know bugs help us and blah blah blah but that still doesn't make me like them in any way!

5. The Movies!

Waiting all year to watch your favorite halloween movies is so exciting. Like for example All of the Halloween Towns, A Nightmare Before Christmas (WHICH YOU CAN TOTALLY WATCH UNTIL DECEMBER AND NOT GET JUDGED), Hocus Pocus, Twitches, Underwraps, Don't Look Under The Bed and so many more.

6. Thanksgiving

The food coma phase of the month. I think I love Thanksgiving so much because of the all the food, laughs, memories and best of all.... PIE. There is so much food and so much family that it makes me so happy.

7. The Cool Weather

I am usually more of a hot weather person but man this past summer has been brutal! It has been so hard every day and it was so humid. I got tired of the hot weather. But now I am loving this beautiful fall weather.

8. Sweater Weather

All kinds of sweater! Old ones, new ones, oversized ones, ugly ones, and so many more. Nothing is more comfier than an over sized sweater.

9. Onesies

Ahh, yes the onesies. The comfiest thing you will probably ever by. I have one and oh man I am never cold when I am in my onesies. There is nothing better than being cozied up with hot chocolate in onesies watching a movie.

10. Christmas

The happiest time of the year. Everyone loves Christmas. This is the only day of the year that I want snow to be on the ground. I love Christmas so much.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
