There is always a perfect outfit for whatever you plan on doing. You normally have it planned out in your head how good it’s going to look and if you’re anything like me, what you imagined it looking a certain (good) way and when you put it on you end up looking like a lump of rocks. This summer there are some very clear trends for us girls and if you don’t have them, you should probably invest. Here is a list of the summer items that are must haves in your closet!

To start, you need the perfect top, which in our generation is normally any crop top. The high neck halters are the number one must have shirt of the summer, the evolution of the halter has treated us girls pretty good, if I do say so myself. Other popular shirt trends taking their stand are the high neck tank tops and the lace up tank tops both super cute and normally made with super great material! If you want to tie a plaid shirt onto any of your summer outfits it's normally the perfect accessory. Match these with tops with any shorts and you have the perfect summer outfit, but what shorts are the latest trend?

Two words: High. Waisted. High rise shorts are in. As high rise pants became super popular the last couple years, the shorts are back and better than ever. From the basic look with the small roll at the bottom or maybe a little rip here and there to the perfect festival shorts with fringe, high waisted is where it is at. Match these shorts with any of crop top or halter and you are sure to have a summer outfit hit. But what is a perfect outfit without the perfect shoes to match?

Not only are white converse a go to for almost all of my outfits in the summer, they are like my all-time go to shoe. If you don’t have a pair, they are the best investment; white or black can almost be paired with any outfit. Another shoe that is a must have are Birkenstock's, I personally prefer the look that wraps around the big toe, not the buckled ones. I know what you’re thinking, there is no way these are in your budget. I have found knock off that totally will suffice to get this look. One last shoe that seems to be popular are the Chaco's, although not my personal favorite I hear they are so comfortable!

Want to purchase anything pictured? Click on the photo's and it will take you to the link where I found them! Almost all items are American Eagle, my favorite go to store of all time! Be sure to treat yourself with some of these super cute, trendy summer looks and you are sure to stand out!

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
