"The mountains are calling and I must go." This quote is plastered across many a t-shirt, journal, and sticker. Step into any outdoor store and you'll find it wherever you look, but what does this really mean? The mountains are calling, and I must go? I think it might mean that Muir, the author, was calling us to step out from our computer screens, to put down our phones, to quit looking at pictures on a screen and instead go out and see them for ourselves. In order to help do so, I have compiled a list of outdoor actives, ranging in difficulty to inspire you to turn off the TV, close the computer, and turn off your phone, and instead step outside.
1. Hiking
2. Backpacking
3. Mountain Biking
4. Bonfire
5. Cave Spelunking
6. Kayaking
7. White Water Rafting
8. Zip-lining
9. Mountain Climbing
10. Bouldering
11. Paddle-boarding
12. Skiing
13. Snowboarding
Hopefully, these pictures and ideas have shown you that their is a multitude of things to do outdoors, ranging from simply taking a walk through your local park to an overnight backpacking or a kayaking trip down the river. You don't have to do anything big, you just have to do something. That mountains are calling you, where will you go?
