For most college students, spring break is a good time to blow off some steam and relax after the first half of the semester. There are those who work, those who take cruises and trips, and possibly the few who literally sit at home and relax on their couch binge watching the latest Netflix original series. Regardless of the choices for activities, there is no doubt that the Monday after spring break there is a cry around every college town from students who dread going back to power through the rest of the semester. There are feelings of withdrawal from a beautiful place, anger with going back to class, and stress from new credit card statements. Nothing can last forever, folks, even something as perfect as spring break.
When your alarm goes off that Monday morning, telling you to go back to the real world:
As you get dressed for the worst of all days and check the weather to see the high is in the 50s .... "The high, not the low?!"
After you make it to class and fumble trying to pick up a pencil for the first time in 10 days:
When you check your phone between classes to see a notification from your bank and all you can think is, "Yes, I've seen my account but did they see my Instagram posts?"
The moment your professor asks the entire class why no one read the email they sent last Wednesday morning:
As you walk across campus to your last class of the day, "What do you mean I have to walk 15 minutes to a building that isn't a bar?"
And finally, when you get home to remember it's still only Monday:
