I'm Praying For Him

He will always be the man I pray for

I'm Praying For Him

Yes, I will call you “no one” until I know exactly who you are. I will let you float around my imagination until you become real. I search for you in the little things that I do like when I write little love letters to you occasionally, in hopes that you’ll possibly pick one up and read it, or when I unwind at my favorite cafe. Maybe you also sit in one of the tables at the cafe, or watch me write these letters. What if you are reading this article? Who knows?

To say I think about you even though we have yet to cross paths is pretty funny but also very true. I wonder if I cross your mind as much as you cross mine. I wonder how you look like, how tall you are, what you like to do. Do you enjoy spending rainy days indoors or are you the type of person who does not mind puddles? Do you love animals just as much as I do? I wonder if you find it crazy that I pray for you and have been doing so since I was four years old, asking my mother if I too could one day be married like she was.

I pray that God continues to give me the strength to wait for you to get here, because seeing couples madly in love, married, and starting their lives together makes me envious. I want what they have, but at the same time, I know God hears me and He is not going to disappoint me whatsoever.

Isaiah 60:22 says, “… I am the Lord in its time I will do it swiftly.”

God’s timing is the most perfect thing of all. If He knew us before we were even born, then He knows exactly when we will meet. I will continue to trust His timing and trust that He has my entire future in his hands, and yours as well. I will continue to let the happy couples be happy and not envy what they have. Nor will I sit back and give myself false hopes. I will hand the pen back to God and let Him finish writing our story.

You could be here literally any day but until you get here I will continue to pray. I pray that when we do meet that I will hear God’s voice as He brings us together, confirming that you are the one for me.

Until then I promise that I will wait for you to get here, and of course pray for you every step of the way.

I have no idea where you are but I know that you are somewhere, created by God especially for me. I pray that you are not only the person that I fall in love with but also my best friend who I can tell everything to just like I do with my close friends and my sister. I hope you don’t mind sitting and hearing me ramble for hours on end.

I will leave the love that I have for you in God’s hands and let him do the work. You are worth the wait, and I will continue to wait for you until God brings you to me.

I will continue to wait and pray for you.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
