The life of a busy person...where do I even begin? Constantly working, always busy, long days, no breaks, no time to rest. Living by a tight daily schedule. Be here at this time. Go there. Do this. Do that. Do this and do that.
Then you hit that point of complete exhaustion. You just hope for a time to relax and catch your breath. You are constantly on the go. Riding the highway at full speed. When will I ever slow down? When will I reach a red light? When will it stop?
I have lately found myself asking these questions. I am that busy and exhausted person. Working 40 hours a week, volunteering, writing, performing in a musical, and the many other small tasks I take on. I am dedicated to these commitments. This can sometimes be challenging. My schedule revolves around them. Each week requires something from me. Working, practicing, chores. My daily tasks and schedule never stop.
Always working each week. Never taking off. A constant repeat of the week. Work. Work. Work. And more work. And then some more work. It's overwhelming. It's exhausting. If only you could get a break. But, you are dedicated. You are committed. But, you are barely holding on right now. The busy is catching up to you. If you don't get a break now, you are going to have a break down.
Is there a way to stop before reaching that point of complete exhaustion? Will the busy person like me ever get less busy? The answer is no. Surprised, huh? Doesn't sound very optimistic, right? But, there is still a light at the end of the tunnel. The busy person can get a break. They can relax. They can rest.
Even though your commitments will always demand attention and dedication, you can catch a break. Make the most of the little moments you have. Like laying in bed after a long day from work, or the joys of it finally being Friday. Cherish these little times and embrace them. Even though your busy schedule will never stop. Enjoy the little moments. Always keep calm and stay relaxed.
