If you're a picky eater, you know how difficult it can be to find something on the menu. Even going to places like McDonald's can be a hassle. There is always something to order without tomatoes and without pickles. It almost seems like it would be easier to make a sandwich because that's way better than the strange looks waiters give you. If you're a picky eater, take joy in the fact that you're not alone.
1. It's easier to list off the foods you do like, rather than the ones you don't.
The list of foods you don't like is ridiculously extensive. Plus, you don't want people giving you "the look" for something you don't like.
2. "I can still taste the pickle juice."
What? Yes, it's true. I don't care if you take the pickles off the food, you can still taste the pickles.
3. Placing a safe bet on chicken strips and fries.
When things on the menu get too complicated, the kids meal of chicken strips and fries is always the safest option. It's your go-to order.
4. Your order becomes "I would like to have this but without this and this and put this on the side."
Nothing should be this complicated, but you can't help it that the kids menu is only 12 and under.
5. You eat at the same three places.
You know your favorite place has something you'll eat, so why branch out and try new things?
6. When foods on your plate touch other foods, you can't eat it.
Thanksgiving stresses you out. Everyone piles their food on one plate. But you have to get two plates because if everything touches, you'll have a breakdown. Yes, it all goes to the same place, but it doesn't taste the same.
7. Trying new foods isn't all that bad, until you have to spit it out.
We've all done it.
8. Carbs are the best food group.
Pizza, bagels, Mac & Cheese, etc. The simplest foods are the best ones around.
But in all reality, being a picky eater isn't so bad. You like what you like, and that's okay! In the words of Dr. Seuss, "there is no one alive that is youer than you".
