Cats, in my opinion, are an amazing gift from God. I love cats.
I have two cats, three if you count the one back at my mom's house. I love them all so much. The one at my mom's is Cinna. When we found him, I was in a "Hunger Games" phase, so that's where his name comes from. He is the greatest cat. He's both indoor and outdoor, and he's fine to just sleep on the foot thing that goes in front of the couch, all day long. He's a sweetie. Now, my cats at my house are like my children. They are both girls, but their names are Charizard and Swanson. My husband named Charizard because of his strong love for Pokemon. I named Swanson because of our addiction to "Parks and Recreation." Swanson really does resemble Ron Swanson at times in appearance and meat addiction. When we make ham sandwiches, Swanson meows and meows as soon as we open up the ham. She will swarm you like a shark for meat, just like Ron Swanson would.
Our girls are a mess, but I love them like crazy. We got them from the McKamey Animal Center a little less than a year ago. They were sisters, and as soon as we saw them, we knew we absolutely had to get them. Our love for them has only grown, just like they have grown in size too.
Cats are awesome, and that is an understatement. They are extremely easy to care for. You don't have to take them outside to use the bathroom every couple of hours, so that's a perk. My motto for taking care of our cats is, "Food, water, scoop." Also, they are just so soft and sweet. However, I know all cats are not sweet. When I am studying in the kitchen with of all my books open in front of me, my cats will hop up and sit right on top of them. Charizard will knead her head against my head trying to get me to pet her. At that point, I can't study because they are in the way, but then, I decide that petting them is just too great, so I just pause my studying for a little while. They LOVE being petted, like crazy! Petting them seems to be a very good stress reliever for me too.
Our girls are like our little children. Sometimes, when I hear noises going on in the other room, I'll yell, "Kids!" I do have to say that I have to keep that squirt bottle handy. They are like our kids in the way that we buy them toys. We buy our cats these toy mice that have catnip in them, and they can't get enough. They will play with those things for hours upon hours. We also got them one of those cat towers, and they just love that thing.
As a cat lover, I love buying cat merchandise, ranging from mugs that say "Cat lady" and t-shirts that say "You've got to be kitten me right meow." Cats are my thing.
I believe that you can never have too many cats. One day, we will probably be considered a Crazy Cat Couple, you know instead of a Crazy Cat Lady. I am a cat lover, and nothing and no one will ever change my mind about it!
