I was scrolling on my news feed on Facebook when I stumbled around the best news all week with having a week full of stress at college. Between studying for finals, doing papers, and preparing for presentations, my heart jumped as I saw the announcement of the Last of Us 2. A feeling of excitement and joy took me. The first game was one of the best games ever made and one of my favorite games of all time and now there will be a sequel out to the highly acclaimed first game.

I can remember playing The Last of Us Remastered edition for my Playstation 4. Hearing all the great reviews on it, I figured I had to play it. As soon as I played it, I fell in love. The story, gameplay, graphics, action, characters, and music were all great and showed what a great game it truly was. The game was phenomenal. It had everything that a great game needed. It had great gameplay, it had a great story never seen before, it also had characters that were very realistic and intriguing. The music flowed well and pointed out important moments in the game. It had crucial action scenes and emotional scenes that tugged at the heart strings. The game also featured multiplayer that was decent and held your time. These are elements that make a great game. The superb part of the game and why you would buy it would be for the campaign, not for the multiplayer. But the game also told a unique story of a crazy future filled with a disease that turns people into zombie-like figures. Society starts to turn on itself as people go mad and two characters must make it through and survive. Ellie, the main character is thrown upon Joel as he must guide her to safety because she is the cure for humanity. They embark on a crazy adventure filled with action and turmoil.

Now comes the Last of Us 2. I never thought they would make another game seeing as years have passed by. The first Last of Us was such an excellent game that I don't know how the second game would follow up or even could be as superb as this game was. The Last of Us 2 will have to raise the ceiling even more and be extraordinary to beat the first game.

The game was announced from a trailer posted online from a Playstation event. The trailer showed a older, more mature Ellie. One that has fully lost her innocence since the last game and vows to kill every last one of them. I think it is meant to say to the fireflies, although I am not quite sure. The trailer opens up with some beautiful imagery of the environment and nature. Then it quickly goes to violence with dead people on the floor in pools of blood while Ellie sings beautifully while playing the guitar. Joel, the other main character of the game walks in looking the same but with signs of being older asking what is going on and what she is doing. The story of the next game seems to be very interesting because of it seeming to be a revenge story. Somebody or some group did something detrimental to them for Ellie to be so angry in the trailer. The last game ended up with Joel lying about her not being the cure for the disease and of her not being able to save humanity. Joel loses his first daughter and forms a bond with Ellie, replacing her as his new daughter. The question lies in the next game if Ellie will find out what really happened to her and what Joel lied about. Months ago I sold my old ps4 after a year and a half of having it, but now it looks like I will be buying another Playstation 4 in due time for this game and others. Playstation is coming out with a lot of great games during the next year or so. The Last of Us 2 shows a lot of promise and I can not wait to play it and hear more about it.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
