Love is something so special and sacred no one should suppress it or keep quiet about it. I will let you in on a little secret… you will not seem desperate.
We are brought up thinking we need to keep our feelings in because we do not know how the other person feels yet. We are also brought up thinking the guy needs to text or call the girl first but that is not how things should go.
If you have found someone who gives you butterflies just by thinking of them...
If you have found someone who makes the world seem like a better place...
If you have found someone who makes your life brighter... tell them.
Love out loud. Let them know they brighten your day when you see their name pop up on your phone. Tell them you are glad they exist and they make this world seem like a better place. Let them know how you get butterflies when you see their car pull up in your driveway to take you out. Be more afraid of keeping your feelings in than screaming them to the whole world.
What is the point of keeping it to yourself? Our lives our so short when you really sit down and think about it. We never know what could happen in 24 minutes or 24 hours from now. We could have one hour, one day, or one year left. Why would you want to spend your time on this earth not being honest with the ones you care about?
Say someone got butterflies just looking at you, or they thought your smile lit up a room. Would you want them to stay quiet about that? Probably not. So, why should you stay quiet about how you think their laugh is the most magical thing in the world?
Love is vulnerable, and vulnerability is scary but there are so many advantages that come with being vulnerable. You can love openly and daringly. You can tell your significant other how beautiful you think they are and how safe they make you feel. You can love someone and tell them without any hesitation. Love is a beautiful thing once you open up and allow yourself to be vulnerable.
I want real love. The kind of love where my significant other and I are best friends. The kind of love where we can stay in in our pajamas and watch a movie or go out dressed to the nines and have a fancy dinner. The kind of love where I can share with him whatever is on my mind and he can do the same. I want to love boldly.
Put your heart on the line. Be vulnerable. Love with absolutely no limits. Because once you do that you will be open to endless opportunities of love and will be able to wake up next to each other and instantly fall in love all over again.
