He was so good to me all those years.

The Great Santa Claus

Santa Claus is a great guy, and I have so many fond memories of him. When I was a child I truly believed Santa had some magical stuff he sprinkled on us to keep us asleep while he delivered the presents. I believed this because I tried so hard every year to catch him, and I never could. I never even heard him moving around. Santa is good at what he does, I guess.

He's so good at what he does that he used to come to our family gathering every Christmas Eve. He would bring me and all of my cousins a present, and then he would have to quickly leave to prepare for his biggest night of the year

However, there were a few times when Santa left evidence he had been there. For example, one time Santa must have used our computer to make labels for the gifts. I logged on to the computer to play solitaire and pinball, like all the cool kids used to do, and Santa had left up Microsoft word. There sat all the labels, "To Jensen, From Santa." Even Santa can be forgetful sometimes.

There was another time when Santa brought me and my sister a set of bunk beds and several other big items. I think he had to borrow a truck from someone in my family in order to get it all there. It was a rainy Christmas night, nd Santa left big muddy tire ruts in my backyard!! The ruts led all the way up to our back door which opened up into the laundry room. I told my sister he must have not had room for our stuff in his sleigh. He also must've been driving fast and had to slam on the brakes before he hit our house. That's the story we went with. I also remember being banned from the laundry room for a few days so I wondered if Santa used it as a storage room. He did great though, and all of our presents were delivered on time.

I remember making reindeer food in elementary school. I was so excited to put it out for them to eat. I was disappointed the next morning to see the pile was still there where I had dumped it. My mom told me Santa was probably in a hurry and they had probably ate at other houses and were already full. I thought she was probably right.

Christmas through the eyes of a child is magical. I have so many memories of Christmas as the happiest times of my childhood. Now that I'm older, one of my favorite parts of Christmas is watching the kids and seeing their joy. It's such a fun time for everyone, and I'm thankful I get to spend these times with my family and those I love.

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
