Across the world, many people are obsessed with the "Star Wars" films. Multiple age groups have their fan girl moment as they watch Luke Skywalker bring balance to the force. Though some might see "Star Wars" as just a movie, it encompasses metaphors that show the journey of life. Whether you’re a fan of the films or not, they can teach you something. Here are some quotes to help you with your everyday life.

10. "Sometimes we must let go of our pride and do what is requested of us."- Padme Amidala

We all are faced with decisions in life that change the way we look at ourselves. Maybe it’s the suggestion by your parents to seek out a professor after a bad test grade. You might be embarrassed, but the help gained will overpower the emotion. Even if we don’t want to make certain decisions, it’s sometimes best to do what is asked of us.

9. “I’ve got a bad feeling about this.” – basically everyone

Something we don’t say enough and definitely should. Like when the cops show up to your party.

8. "Many of the truths that we cling to depend on our point of view." - Obi Wan Kenobi

As stubborn as humanity can be, our view on things may not be the most noble or moral. We usually act in a manner that benefits or protects ourselves. Here’s a saying most college students have heard before, “Liquor before beer, in the clear.” We have this perception that as young adults we are invincible. However, we end up spending the next morning with our heads in the toilet asking the universe, “Why me?"

7. “Great, kid. Don’t get cocky.” – Han Solo

Plain and simple, always be humble. No one likes a show-off.

6. "Remember, concentrate on the moment. Feel, don't think, use your instincts."- Qui Gon Jinn

Have you ever felt insane when you overthink the simplest of things or decisions? We ponder what choice will benefit us the most, which will protect our self-image and which choice is the right one. We take ourselves out of the moment. Sometimes it’s best to use your feelings. Maybe its that girl that sits next to you in class and you try to dig deep and find any ounce of courage to even say hi. Don’t overthink it, just be you and live in the moment.

5. "Strike me down and I will become more powerful than you can possibly imagine." - Obi- Wan Kenobi

In life, some of our success and inner victories come in times of failure.

4. "Fear leads to anger. Anger leads to hate. Hate leads to suffering."- Yoda

Fear is a dangerous thing; it can consume you if you let it. The point is not to live without fear, but to be the master of what you are afraid of. Don’t allow it to make you suffer. Be brave!

3. "Do or do not... there is no try." - Yoda

When there’s something you want, you must commit yourself to it, regardless of what anyone tells you. If you want to get in that tough major, just work your ass off!

2. "Your eyes can deceive you, don't trust them." -Obi-Wan Kenobi

Everything isn’t always, as it seems on the surface. Just because someone might be shy or not the most outgoing person, it doesn’t mean that they don’t have redeeming qualities.

1. "Train yourself to let go of everything you fear to lose." - Yoda

There’s one thing in life that's certain and it's loss. Trying to control things that you have no power over will set you down a path of suffering. Control what you can and live.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
