To the girl who broke his heart,

Thank you.

Thank you for showing him his worth and what he really deserves from someone. Thank you for helping me be able to show him what real love feels like. I will never use him nor will I hurt him. I won't cheat on him and I won't ever make him feel like he doesn't matter.

Thank you for making things for me hard but yet also easy when it comes to him letting me into his life. You made things hard for me because it took him a while to be able to trust me and to believe that I wasn't like you. You made things easy for me because once I was able to show him what real love looked and felt like he became a totally new person ready to take on the world with me. Thank you for hurting him because you made one of the most amazing guys I've ever known.

You may think this letter is uncalled for but honestly it's something that I need to say. Thank you for making him strong. Because of you, he is my protector and lover. I know that when I am with him that I am safe and that nothing will ever hurt me. I also know that because of you, he will never use me or cheat on me. He is not that kind of man but you weren't able to learn that and in no way will you ever get the chance to know that.

Thank you for giving him tough skin but yet a soft heart. I see the pain you caused him in his eyes when he doesn't realize that it is showing and it breaks my heart but it makes me love him more. Everything you did to him turned him into a guy like no other and I am so glad that I am able to call him mine.

I will never understand how someone could be so cruel to someone else, especially a guy like him. Thank you for giving me the chance to change his life and his view on love. If it wasn't for you I honestly don't know where him and I would stand right now.

Thank you for making the mistake of letting him go, you didn't know what you had and probably still don't. Thank you for helping him be able to hold me tighter at night when he realizes that I'm not going to do what you did. I will never understand y'all's past or what happened in your relationship and I am not saying that I particularly want to but I do know that because of you I am able to call the most amazing guy in the world mine.

Thank you for being everything he thought he wanted and needed but then proving that you were the exact opposite. Thank you for leading him straight to me. I promise you I am not going to repeat your past because nothing has ever felt better than this.
