An Open Letter To The Friends Who Have Become Family.

I’m sorry for how sappy this is going to be but my heart is overwhelmed with love for you and I need to try to put it into words.

I will never be able to fully communicate how thankful I am for you.

I thank God every single day for you.

I am genuinely not sure what I did to deserve friends like you and the love you have shown me.

You love me unconditionally.

You have seen me at my absolute worst and loved me still.

You pray for me and pray with me.

You give me chocolate when I’m sad.

You cook with me and for me.

You bring me coffee just because you were thinking of me.

You sing terribly with me on the way home.

You have made me a better me.

You have pushed me to fall in love with myself.

You have pushed me to grow.

The relationships I have with you have been orchestrated by God and I see Him in you.

When I look at each of you I don’t just see you, but I see the Spirit of the Living God inside of you.

Thank you for standing by me when I wanted to stand alone.

Even when I pushed you away you loved me from a distance and for that I thank you.

Thank you for telling me what I need to hear instead of what I want to hear.

Thank you for letting me leave mascara stains on your shirt.

Thank you for just hugging me when I needed to be held together.

Thank you for being exactly who you are because who you are is exactly what I need.

Thank you for letting me be me.

Thank you for pushing me to become the woman of God I am called to be.

Thank you for letting me love you.

Thank you for the mascara stains on my shirt.

Thank you for letting me hold you together when you felt like you were falling apart.

Thank you for letting me catch you when you just felt like you were falling.

I feel privileged to be able to love people like you.

I feel even more privileged to be loved by you.

I will never be able to repay you for what you have done for me but I promise I am going to spend every moment I know you trying to.

Whether you are 10 hours away from me or sitting in my living room as we speak, my heart is with you.

I promise there will never be a time I am not here for you.

There will never be a time I will not love you.

Thank you for making me feel safe.

Thank you for being my home.

With love, Liv

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
